Terms and Conditions

Mother and Child Pte Ltd or “M&C” provides prenatal & postnatal services and products described on our website, social media accounts, during home visits and at our centre/branches.

All course refunds will be subject to an administrative charge. $20 administrative charge will be incurred for refunds of products costing less than $300. For all services costing more than $300, refunds will be subject to a $50 administrative fee. This fee will be used to offset credit card charges and other costs involved with the additional time spent.

Childbirth Preparation, HypnoBirthing®, Pre-Lactation and other pregnancy related courses

M&C provides general educational information in our Childbirth Preparation, HypnoBirthing® and other courses. We do not provide specific advice on our client’s personal medical condition and health issues. Clients are advised to consult with their Obstetrician, General practitioner or appropriate health professional for any medical, personal health, pregnancy and child health matters.

Cancellation policy:

Our class size is limited to ensure a conducive, cosy and relaxed learning environment for you. Hence we seek your understanding of our need to implement a cancellation policy.

Cancellation more than 4 weeks before the course commences: 100% refund less a $50 cancellation fee
Cancellation between 4 weeks before and 2 weeks before the course starts: 50% refund
Cancellation 2 weeks before the course starts: No refund

Exceptional circumstances: If cancellation is due to exceptional circumstances, please contact us to discuss. We have been flexible especially in medical related circumstances and have given refunds in exceptional cases.

First Aid & CPR courses for Couples and for Helpers

First Aid & CPR instructors at M&C are ASHI (American Safety and Health Institute) certified trainers. The First Aid and CPR advice and information on the courses are per ASHI guidelines. Information provided by M&C during our courses, on our website, brochures, First Aid & CPR booklets and handouts are for our client’s personal knowledge and educational guidance purposes only. M&C is not responsible for any action or behaviour of the client based on information provided during the course. M&C is not responsible for misinterpretation of the advice given during the course. Clients are advised to immediately consult with their Obstetrician, General practitioner or appropriate health professional for emergency and medical issues in relation to themselves, their Helpers or the health & safety of their child.

Yoga and Pilates classes

Yoga, pilates and exercise classes at M&C are taught by experienced and knowledgeable instructors. Our instructors provide general guidance and advice during these exercise and relaxation classes. M&C and its instructors do not provide advice on a client’s medical or health condition and whether they should undertake such exercises during or after their pregnancy. Before they commence these classes, clients are advised to consult with their Obstetrician, General practitioner or appropriate health professional about undertaking these exercises at any time during or after their pregnancy.

Each Yoga and Pilates class package has a 12-month validity and needs to be utilised prior to the expiration date.

Cancellation policy:

Cancellation more than 12 hours before the class starts: no deduction of class pass
Cancellation less than 12 hours before the class starts: deduction of 1 session

Lactation consultation, Well Baby drop-in, Development assessment, Solids class, Meet-up session and similar services

The information, feedback and guidelines provided by M&C’s midwives, lactation consultants, maternal & child health visitors, nurses and counsellors for you and your baby during delivery of our services are guidelines and general in nature. We do not provide medical advice and/or medical treatments for illnesses or medical conditions. Clients are advised to immediately consult with their Obstetrician, General practitioner or appropriate health professional for medical illness and health issues in relation to themselves or their baby.

Client Personal liability

M&C is not responsible for personal injury, damage to client property or loss of client property resulting from attendance on our courses & classes and in delivery of our prenatal & postnatal services at the M&C centre/branches, your home or hospital visits or any other location. You are advised to take care of all personal property and possessions.

Clients are advised to immediately consult with their Obstetrician, General practitioner or appropriate health professional if they feel ill whilst attending any of our courses, classes or during delivery of the M&C services.

Intellectual Property

Our Website and our courses may contain our service marks or trademarks or intellectual property as well as those of our affiliates or other companies in the form of words, graphics, and logos. Your use of our Website or Services does not constitute any right or license for you to use our service marks or trademarks or other intellectual property without the prior written permission of M&C.

Our Content, as found within our Website and Services including course handouts, is protected under Singapore law. The copying, redistribution, use, or publication by you of any such Content is strictly prohibited. Your use of our Website and Services including course handouts does not grant you any ownership rights to our Content.

Payments

You represent and warrant that if you are purchasing something from us, (i) any payment information you supply is true and complete, (ii) charges incurred by you will be honoured by your bank or credit card company, (iii) you will pay the charges incurred by you at the posted prices, including any applicable taxes, and (iv) if your initial payment method is dishonoured, you will still pay the incurred charges, including any surcharge we may incur due to the dishonoured payment.

Photos

During the M&C courses/classes and prenatal/postnatal sessions, a photographer and/or videographer may be present to take photos or videos for promotional or marketing purposes. If you have any objections to this, please inform us at so that we can ensure that you are not included in the images and/or video that may appear on our website, social media accounts or marketing material. We will also verbally inform and check with all attendees on our courses/classes/sessions before the photography and video taking commences.
